more car photos, more LA shots

more car photos..

This is the plate of Archie's humvee that brought us to Miramisa SD to the south, and as far as Cambria, west of San Luis Obispo to the north. It was really a long drive!

The following photos are the ones I missed publishing in the Universal Studios entry. All of them are self explainatory.  The signs at the back tells you who/where/waht movie the vehicle was used..

Obviously, this one were used by the famous Marx Brothers in some of the slapstick movies they made...

This is the vehicle where the tourists were trapped when the T-Rex got out from his cage and started his rampage (JURASSIC PARK )...

For Nanci: this is a whole shot of the Delorean, the car that went BACK TO THE FUTURE. Incidentally, there is also a BACK TO THE FUTURE building in the premises. You and a partner get to ride in a replica of the Delorean. When the ride starts, the front window of the car becomes a 180 degree movie screen ( a curved LCD monitor) and with special effects including car movements, you will watch a short movie starting from the initial test run of the car, then something wrong happened ( as always in sci-fi movies ) and you find yourself plunging into a volcano or inside the mouth of a T-Rex. I closed my eyes most of the time cause for me, this kind of rides are only for the younger ones..:)

more street sights:

Ahh..these sights are more of my fancy. Along Beverly Hills, the mecca of tourists and moneyed visitors from all over the world. If you are budget conscious, leave your Amex card when you visit this place!

The ambiance of this tourist spot is really different from the similar areas in San Francisco, San Diego, Hawaii, New York City, Sacramento and yes, even Toronto. But Makati  is almost in the same league as these places, come to think of it.

LA has also its San Vicente, same as almost every town in Pangasinan!

Crossing Canon drive, along Beverly Hills (?)..It was a good drive. Visiting a new city is always exhilarating, anticipating ( as always ) that someday, you would visit it again.---#
