water sports

Kayaking and other water events..

Children blend into water  like ice cubes into a glass of gin and tonic right in your hand. And you are sitting on a lounging chair sit as a look out for the boisterous little darlings. You have to check that everyone has his/her life jackets or nobody is drowning. A water event like the latter  would surely dampen the holiday.

But the water events went well, thanks God. All the three generations: from the grandparents to the wee grandchildren had fun splashing like duckies on the water. The lake within a lake surrounding the Somerville cottage was clean as a whistle. It is one of the exclusive cottage countries in the province. Some of the cottages shown to us by Helen Somerville, our host for the weekend stay were as big as hotels and with "watershed garage" for their expensive boats. Some people really have the money to burn, I mean to spend.

Anyways, before we wander off our topic, check the following photos. It is quite easy to babysit the kiddies if the weather is fine and there are older kids to look after the young ones..

Can you fill up my glass with another round of gin and tonic? On second thought, screw the tonic..Gin and ice would be fine...:)

The little darlings are screaming and splashing all over..When everyone is happy, I am happy, what with this frosty glass in my hand...

It is  Miguelita kayaking like a pro. During her pre grandma days, she also swam like a fish on the water. Everyone knows how to swim, except MOI!

Louena  and Onyx. Onyx like to ride on the boat too, but no dogs allowed...

Mia and Patricia trying their best..Mia is giving the thumbs up. Kayaking is easy as eating an apple  pie...

Kayak race?..Nope.  Caitlin and Chloe on the left, Mia and Tricia on the other boat...

I also know how to Kayak..Nothing to it...

Still the best swimmer in the group!

Miguelita and I doing one for the cameras!

Caitlin and young Chloe kayaking around..

Simon, my son-in-law cleaning the water to remove sea weeds and other crap...

Mr. Vic, that lake you went kayaking to was very pleasing to see --- plenty trees around and boulders too. It reminds me of the wide Pangasinan-Zambales boundary river (Nayom) on whose banks I spent my childhood, a nice place to make peace with the world and with yourself, and to celebrate also that we have reached the senior years and still healthy. I'll match your gin and ice with bacardi rhum and rose lime.
