B-r-r-r-r !!!!!

Wintry Niagara Then, and Recently

Mike Bartlett, a regular reader of the AJ sent these photos. He said they were taken in 1911 with a Brownie camera. Those were the point-and-shoot models  during those years...

 

The photos below were taken  just last February 2007..Niagara, in the iciness of winter gives an eeire beauty of its own.. No sounds of tourists and cars..Even the roar of the Falls seemed to be stifled..And definitely, no rides in the Maid of the Mist!!

This is the closest place you can approach the Falls...

 

And this is just what you can see...No fun isn't it?

During summer, the spray from the Falls come as light drizzle..during winter they come as fine crystals of ice..:)
